Svep Design Center has over 45 years of experience in advanced circuit board design. We work with most of the tools available on the market, such as Altium Designer, Siemens PADS, OrCAD, Autodesk Eagle, and KiCad. Our extensive library of thoroughly tested components and layout symbols enables us to quickly develop new designs in a secure and reliable manner. We also offer production documentation, prototype manufacturing, testing, and verification, and as a customer, you naturally have access to all design files.
System design

System design

We help you create a sustainable system design based on your requirements. We perform calculations on temperature, size, power consumption, and how the circuit board should be constructed to best meet regulatory requirements regarding environment, safety, and EMC. We also ensure that the PCB can be functionally tested and produced as efficiently as possible in collaboration with contract manufacturers.

At this stage, the basic design is created, and all components are selected. We ensure that all components meet the right quality standards for your product.

We have extensive experience in choosing the right components and maintain close collaborations with all major chip and module manufacturers. Review

All designs created at Svep undergo a review process. This provides assurance for you as a customer, as experienced designers have thoroughly checked all the documentation sent for manufacturing. During the review, we examine the design both manually and with automated tools to ensure that all design rules and requirements are fulfilled.

During the circuit board layout, the schematic and architecture are transformed into a physical drawing of the circuit board. Our experienced CAD engineers are experts at creating a design that meets your requirements and legal demands, while also taking mass production into consideration.

We have access to a very large component library with ready-made components, which makes the work proceed quickly and securely.

Production documentation

Here we create accurate production documentation that can be sent to any manufacturer. The documentation contains the necessary information for the manufacturer to be able to produce a correct circuit board with the right components assembled.

Test and verification

Svep has extensive experience and advanced tools for testing and verifying circuit boards. Our team of test engineers ensures that the quality and functionality meet current market requirements and your expectations.

Life cycle analysis - FMEA

Printed circuit boards often need to function for many years out in the field. We can perform analysis of possible failure modes and calculate the lifespan of critical components. We ensure that your design has the right conditions to last for the promised lifespan of the product and is safe to use.

Thermography

To ensure the lifespan of your product, it is important, among other things, to measure the temperature development on the circuit board. We perform simulations of the temperature distribution early in the development of your product. We also conduct supplementary measurements on physical products using thermal cameras and temperature probes, subjecting the design to the maximum stresses it will face during operation.

Drop and vibration testing

If your product is intended for use in environments with vibrations or other physical impacts, we can conduct drop and vibration tests. Proper mounting and mechanical support of circuit boards and cabling ensure a stable product with a long lifespan.

Materials and surface treatment

It is important to choose the right materials and surface treatments for the circuit board based on your product’s intended use. Svep has extensive experience in determining quality requirements and environmental profiles for different product areas. This can involve special requirements for flame retardancy, oxidation resistance, or operating temperature.

If the circuit board is to be used in a harsh environment, such as in a vehicle, there may be demands for post-treatments like potting or conformal coating. We help you select the appropriate type of material, surface treatment, and post-treatment for your circuit board.

Antenna design

We have extensive experience in PCB antenna design. We can create custom antennas for your application and also save money by integrating the antenna directly into the circuit board. We design, customize, and match the antenna, as well as measure its performance. If your design includes multiple types of radio technologies and has limited space, we can help you with a compact antenna solution.

Prototype manufacturing

Prototype manufacturin

We help you manufacture prototypes for your product. We handle the dialogue with the contract manufacturer to quickly get boards produced and delivered. At Svep, we then perform programming and testing of the circuit boards. You receive finished prototypes delivered along with a full verification report.

Mass production

When your product is ready for large-scale production, we assist you in initiating mass production with a suitable manufacturer for your product. We provide documentation, production materials, production test equipment, and help the manufacturer get started. Our engineers are always ready to assist with troubleshooting, support, and optimizing the design to simplify assembly or reduce costs.
